After many combat missions, his plane was shot down by a missile, Carlos parachuted, was captured and
taken to a prison English pirate. On his return to Argentina, he lectured recounting his ordeal, and what he learned in prison.
One day I was in a restaurant and a man greeted him:
He said "Hi, you are Charles, was a pilot in the Falklands and knocked him right?"
"And you, how do you know that?" Asked Carlos.
"Because I folded his parachute. It seems that it worked right?"
Carlos almost choked with surprise and with much gratitude replied
"Of course it worked, if it had not worked, I would not be here today."
being alone that night, Carlos could not sleep, thinking:
"" He asked many times at the base saw this man and never said good morning, I was an arrogant pilot He was a humble sailor? "
also thought the hours that sailor step in the bowels of the hangar winding the silk threads of each chute, holding in his hands the life of someone who did not know.
Now, Carlos begins his lectures by asking his audience:
"Who turned your parachute today?".
all have someone whose job it is important for us to succeed. Each of us needs a lot of gear in the day: one physical, one emotional, mental and even a spiritual one.
Sometimes, the challenges that life throws at us daily, we lose sight of what is truly important and those who save us in a timely manner without being ask.
Leaving greet, to thank, congratulate someone, or even say something nice just because.
Today this week, this year, every day, do your best to realize who fold your parachute, and be thankful.
" in everything give thanks: for this is God's will for you in Christ Jesus" (1 Thessalonians 5:18)
